Great start to the season as the Spartans look to win 5th straight team title

The Spartans have had a strong start to the 2022-23 season with competition  and success at all levels.  The team has traveled  to Eau Claire WI for 2 tournaments, both resulting in a team championship for Varsity and individual championships on Varsity Boys, Girls and JV.   In addition, our JV team placed 7th at a large JV Dual tournament and our girls team has placed 4th and 5th at 2 different tournaments.

Our Varsity is currently 10-0 in duals outscoring our opponents on average of 67-8.  The highlight of December was winning the prestigious Christmas Tournament for the 4th time in school history.  This tournament consists of 33 teams in which many of them are highly ranked from multiple different states.  Simley came out on top beating #1 ranked AAA team St. Michael-Albertville, and the #1 ranked Wisconsin team Kaukana.  Individually in this tournament, we had 8 Placewinners:
1st - Gavin Nelson
2nd - Soren Herzog, Brandon Morvari
3rd - Austin Gryzwinski, Cash Raymond
5th - JJ Salas, Travis Smith
6th - Jake Kos

The Spartans look to compete again on January 5th-7th in The Cheesehead, another very challenging 32 team tournament with top teams in the country and their respective states.  Please come on out to Simley on January 12th and 19th to cheer us on at our home duals!
