The Simley Wrestling program has had 3 state champions this year.  This incredible individual feat occurred on March 2nd at the Xcel Energy Center.  Chase Deblaere won the championship bout by defeating returning state champion Jaxon Rohman of Fairmont/Martin County West in a hard fought 7-5 battle.  This was Simley's 50th state champion in the program.  Ryan Sokol then had one of the marquee match ups beating 2 time returning state champion Charlie Pickell of Mankato West by fall in 5:54.  Greg Kerkvliet capped off the tournament with his 7th 1st period pin of the weekend over Logan Wingert of Plainview Elgin Millvilleand his 4th state championship.
