Ma'am-
I am proud to be of assistance. He is one of my Marines. No matter how involved or
uninvolved I am in any incident, I take responsibility for the conduct, health,
proficiency, morale, discipline, and esprit of my men. Consequently, I feel
responsible for your son's injury and want nothing more than to do what I can to be
of assistance to the family.

Kyle is a great Marine with a bright future. At this point we still do not know
what to expect for recovery. I do know that he is stable, in the ICU, intubated,
sedated, and still on a ventilator. As of today, the doctors are attempting to
wean his sedation to remove the breathing tube. Once he is coherent and breathing
on his own, we expect him to be transferred to Landstuhl, Germany, and then on to
Bethesda, Maryland. Expect him to spend about a week in Germany. Time spent at
Bethesda will be based upon his recovery.

If you are in contact with the doctors, please let me know. They are the pro's,
and I am only a link in the chain. If the doctors are talking to you, then I will
become less involved. Additionally, I expect to be out of the office for expended
periods of time, so I may not be able to contact you on a regular basis.

I will happily distribute his packages to his platoon. If you would still like to
send packages, send them to his platoon commander, and he will get them to the
platoon. Address: Lt Cragholm, 1st Plat, K Co, 3/5, Unit 40390, FPO AP 96426-0390.

Respectfully Submitted,
Drew McNulty
Captain USMC
